I love decorating our tree with homemade ornaments. There is just something about looking at our homemade ornaments that just fills my heart. The holidays is my favorite time of year. In this image I used a ball of yarn since my ornament ran off. Enjoy!

Instructions

Chain 6, slip stitch to form a ring OR work a Magic Ring Round 1: Chain 3 (See Notes), work 11 dc into the loop, join with a slip stitch into top of chain 3 at beginning of round.(12 dc) (if using the Magic Ring method – Pull loop tight to close the opening) Slip Stitch into space between dc from previous Round One Round 2: Chain 3 (See Notes), dc into same space, work 2 dc into each space around, join with a slip stitch into top of chain 3 at beginning of round. (24 dc) Slip Stitch into space between set of dc from previous Round Two Round 3: Chain 3 (See Notes), work dc2 together into same space as chain 3, skip next two dc, * work 3dc together into next space, chain 1,* repeat from * to * around, join with a slip stitch into top of chain 3 at beginning of round. (36 sts) Slip Stitch into space between set of dc 3 from previous Round 3 Round 4: Chain 3 (See Notes), work dc2 together into same space as chain 3, skip next three dc, * work 3dc together into next space, chain 2,* repeat from * to * around, join with a slip stitch into top of chain 3 at beginning of round. (36 sts) Slip Stitch into stitch from previous Round 4 Rounds 5-6: Chain 3 (See Notes), work 2 dc into same space, skip next three dc, *chain 2, work 3 dc into next space,* repeat from *to* around, join with a slip stitch into top of chain 3 at beginning of round. (36 dc, 12 ch 2 sps) Slip the ball into the ornament cozy, making sure that the RS is facing out. Round 7: Chain 3 (See Notes), work dc2 together into same space as chain 3, skip next two dc, *work 3dc together into next space,* repeat from *to* around, join with a slip stitch into top of chain 3 at beginning of round. (36 sts) Finishing Slip stitch the stitches together, leaving a space for the hanging loop of the ball. Fasten off yarn and weave in ends.
